Graphic Designer

My name is Sarah Gleeson, I'm twenty two years old and from Ireland. I have a BA in Visual Communications from Dublin Institute of Technology.

While studying in college I took the time to complete work experience with different Design Studios in order to gain a better understanding of the design process. As part of Dara Creative I was given the opportunity to work on designs and illustrations for a number of reputable companies such as the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Higher Education Authority and the National Centre for Technology in Education. This gave me the opportunity to broaden my skill set and work individually and as part of a team on projects in a design environment.

The last year I have been working for a company called Ocean Advertising and Brand Imagination. Here I got the opportunity to broaden my skills as a designer working on a wide range of projects including identities, flyers, signage, advertisements and brochures.I was able to work on designs from concept to finished piece which helped hone skills such as choosing the right stock, colour selection for both print and screen, and creating an eye for detail in artworking, print proofing and colour adjustment. I got the opportunity to work with many high-profile clients such as Opel, Diamond Living, McNally and Ritz-Carlton.
